Fight the Bite

SA Health

Fight the Bite aims to raise awareness about mosquito-borne disease and the importance of protecting against mosquito bites.

The campaign encourages the public to ‘Cover up, Repel and Eliminate’ by wearing long, light coloured, loose-fitting clothing, using insect repellent and eliminating the water that mosquitoes breed in.

It was launched in December and features in local press and radio, outdoor advertising in caravan parks, and on drink coasters and coolers.

This year, the campaign has also been supported by a strong social media presence. Find out more at www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/FightTheBite.

Choose to Care

Department for Education and Child Development and Department for Child Protection

The Choose to Care campaign aims to celebrate the state’s foster and kinship carers and encourage more people to open their homes to a vulnerable child.

The State Government campaign which commenced in September features TV, newspaper, electronic billboard, social media and cinema advertising and will run on various platforms until September 2017.

During September to November the campaign generated a 57% increase in enquires from people interested in becoming foster carers.

The campaign is supported by a series of videos telling the stories of South Australian foster carers and the different types of care they provide.

Do you know someone who is interested in becoming a foster carer? We need all kinds of foster carers – from emergency carers who can take children at short notice to those who can provide a home for children until they turn 18. Whether it’s a weekend, a week in the school holidays, a fortnight, a month or longer, any amount of your time could really make a difference.

More information can be found at www.fostercare.sa.gov.au.

'Best of South Australia'

South Australian Tourism Commission

The South Australian Tourism Commission’s ‘Best of South Australia’ global campaign showcases the up close and personal experiences that South Australia has to offer. The campaign highlights regions such as Adelaide Hills, Barossa, Flinders Ranges and Eyre Peninsula and features the hit song ‘Higher’ by South Australian artists Hilltop Hoods.

The campaign showcases unique experiences like swimming with sea lions on the Eyre Peninsula, and indulging in the Barossa’s award winning food and wine. It goes beyond the traditional approach of wide angle, panoramic shots to allow audiences to get in close among the action. The campaign shows travellers what they can do on a visit to South Australia; the real South Australia has something for everyone.

The ‘Best of South Australia’ campaign launched globally in August with multiple executions across several platforms.

Tasting Australia

South Australian Tourism Commission

Tasting Australia is an 8-day celebration of food and wine. Wherever you are from, South Australia represents a universal and open invitation to take part in an eating and drinking experience that shows you the way it’s meant to be – true to culture, true to those who produce it, and true to its regions, then served by the people who know it best.

The campaign, launched interstate in November and locally in March, appears across TV, print, press, digital display and social media. The campaign aims to bring together the notion of our regions and our local producers and how that ultimately relates with the enjoyment of our food and drink. The emphasis is on showing meaningful and engaging points of connection between people, producers and their produce.

Tasting Australia, from 1 May - 8 May, brings together our best regions and produce, prepared by the best local, national and international talent: Paul West (River Cottage Australia), Benjamin Cooper (Chin Chin), Robin Wickens (Royal Mail Hotel) and Anthony Myint and Chris Kiyuna (Perennial Team) to name just a few.

'Share the road'

Motor Accident Commission

‘Share the Road’ was inspired by a recommendation made by the State Government’s Citizens’ Jury to develop a road safety campaign that recognised all road users as people.

The campaign challenges the “us” and “them” attitude that can exist between road users and features everyday traffic scenarios to demonstrate that all sorts of people use our roads, people with names and families, just like you.
